About

Hi, I’m Haidy (pronounced Hi-Dee not Hey-Dee) though I won’t be insulted if you accidentally mispronounce my name, it happens almost daily.

I am 24 years old. I got married when I was 20 to the best man I know (aka Lynden) and I love sharing my life with him and my darling little cat Asterix.

I sometimes sing and play the piano in my spare time and I LOVE to take pictures. I am constantly inspired by what is around me: sounds, smells, tastes, and of course the things I see and touch. This is often reflected in the music that I write and the pictures that I take.

I am a Seventh-Day Adventist Christian and I go to church on Saturday’s not Sunday’s.

I am often puzzled by the ugliness in this world, yet often stunned by its indescribable beauty.

I started this blog with the intention of documenting my journey into photography but it has unfolded in a slightly different direction than I expected. I am still trying to figure out exactly what that direction is but I hope you enjoy this adventure with me as I share snippets of my life, love and photography.
